"Die Kammer - Season V: Maybe forgotten. Maybe glorious" ltd. Vinyl Edition
A new, familiar, cosy shiver!
On the new, fifth ‘Kammer’ album, the duo Marcus Testory and Matthias Ambré reinvent themselves in an intense way, but remain true to themselves. It is this special, unique symbiosis that makes up the unique sound of the Kammer. Testory's powerful, incisive voice, surrounded by bittersweet cello lines, embedded in semi-acoustic soundscapes. Catchy, rousing, anthemic choruses and hooklines create the typical positive melancholy that permeates the ‘Kammer’ work.
Whimsical and morbid stories that are characterised by injuries, transience and death, but also by an unshakeable, passionate lust for life. Flavoured with subtle sarcasm, subtle social criticism, autobiographical experiences and personal adventures. The new album and the accompanying ‘Season’ are perhaps the most serious, melancholic and mature in the band's history to date. Nevertheless, ‘Die Kammer’ on Season V is refreshingly open and experimental. The new sound is also due to an earlier line-up change during the coronavirus period: The original larger line-up was reduced to a four-piece formation - acoustic guitars, cello and bass. Stylishly complemented with electronic sound elements and powerful pulsating beats.
